introducing Stacey
Stacey is a freelance specialist in the field of organisational performance measurement. While Stacey began her career as a research statistician, she certainly isn’t your typical statistician. It’s not numbers she loves, it’s the fact that from the numbers people can discover and share information that guides them to make better, easier decisions and choices that help their businesses to improve. Stacey’s gift is that she has a real understanding and empathy for how numbers such as performance measures will impact on the people that are going to use them. Stacey teaches people how to get the kind of information that shows them how well their business is doing and how to make it do better…There are many models around for performance measurement, such as the Balanced Scorecard, Performance Prism, OPM, Six Sigma Scorecard. But these are just conceptual frameworks, and they don’t really help you decide exactly what to measure or how to bring those performance measures to life. Stacey has spent over ten years working in the field of organisational performance measurement. And has created a set of practical techniques to make measuring performance easier, and more likely to actually make decision making better…Stacey’s work focuses specifically on reviewing, designing and putting into practice performance measurement processes that create useful and useable organisational performance information for tracking and improving business success - at all levels and in all areas. Her background includes:
PuMP® is Stacey’s flapship product, a methodology that’s helped many people in many diverse organisations to design and use the performance measures they really need. What's unique about Stacey's approach to performance measurement is that it isn't just about the technical aspects to how to measure performance. A very big component of her approach is the human side of performance measurement, how people feel about measurement and performance, and the kind of change process they typically find themselves going through when involved in performance measurement. Some of the many organisations Stacey has brought this approach to are:
On a more personal note, Stacey is passionate about spending as much time as possible with her husband Scott and her two dogs Hinda and Chilli, spending free time in nature, bush running, hiking, astanga yoga, great conversation with friends and family, eating and cooking with chocolate and nurturing her native Australian garden, fruit trees and vegetable patch.
