"In our opinion, this was the best, most practical workshop both of us have ever attended. This is the most straightforward, well thought through approach to developing and reporting performance measures that we have seen." |
|
"The knowledge that I have gained though the workshop has enabled me to grow into my role as a performance measurement champion and I have built a reputation of being the person to talk to in how to setup and assess reports for other areas in the business, and even in other companies." |
|
"I actually used the report template you gave us at the workshop, to help provide a report to the CEO on the measures the executive management already have in place. The CEO and executive were all really impressed with the format! It really got their interest and attention!" |
|
"Stacey, I have attended your workshop in July, and since have been reading your many resources and newsletters. Your philosophy and approach, and the language and methods you use to get your messages across, are so inline with how I operate, and I am totally inspired |
|
"Your style and materials are very approachable, and you explained everything so clearly that I never felt baffled ... The course is really designed with the learner in mind. Thanks!" |
|
"I found the Performance Measure Blueprint Tele-course very valuable - not just because I learnt some great tools and concepts I can use in my role, but because the structure of the course suited my learning style perfectly. I was able to focus on the short sharp sessions without the fatiguing that happens in all-day courses. The scheduling of the calls was convenient as it allowed some reflection time but they weren't so far apart that I had to review before the next call. The resource website including the course notes, handouts and recordings was brilliant with everything located in one conveniet location and allowing me to listen to recordings multiple times. Overall, for me, this course in this format was the perfect mix and provided me with a lot of great new tools I was able to use in my role immediately." |
|
"I was surprised by the impact of your presentation and the opportunity to try out and discuss the techniques. There were quite a few ‘lights on’ moments for me during the course... Thanks again for an enjoyable and rewarding workshop." |
|
"Not only have I learnt a great methodology for performance measures from you, I have also gained a bit more insight and confidence that I can actually make a real difference in the business and wider community. And if no one has told you - your presentation skills are great." |
|
"Stacey, congrats and thanks again for such a great Performance Measure Blueprint Workshop last week - it’s inspiring to be around people who love what they do!" |
|
"Stacey, thanks so much for your fantastic Performance Measure Blueprint Workshop last week - it’s really given us momentum. We finished our draft Results Map the day after the workshop. We are now getting into the Measure Design to verify measures for our new performance scorecard. And we're going to identify the measures we should use at division and department levels too. We are also going to hook into a symposium in May to display our Results Map and and new measures in a Measure Gallery to build more buy-in across the division - which will be fantastic. Full steam ahead!" |
|
"Stacey, the workshop that you ran was revelational - truly. Simply put, the single most important question that I took away with me was a question you asked of me on the second morning: "What do you define as success for the organisation?" Well I've got to say that question took me about two or three days to answer properly. As a result, it's strengthened the focus in our organisation about what matters most." |
|
"I'm a big believer that performance measures are the focus of improvement, but have struggled to get the Balanced Scorecard to really work for us. We pilot tested Stacey's PuMP approach and the results really surprised us. We expected to get meaningful performance measures for our pilot team, but we got more value than that. Our employees now feel clearer about what their priorities are, they have ownership of their measures, they discovered they have more influence on how customers value their services. Over a year later, the pilot team is still building on the system that PuMP helped them establish, and we have applied PuMP throughout the rest of my division, resulting in the same outcome-focus, buy-in and focus on service improvement." |
|
"Just thought I'd email you to say hello and to also let you know that we used the Performance Measurement Blueprint to create our new Executive Scorecard. I just wanted to let you know that your methods have helped me with this project here and will continue to in the future as we further develop the Executive Scorecard into the future but also assist departments in developing their scorecards. So a big THANKS to you." |
|
"Hi Stacey, I have taken the Performance Measure Blueprint Audio training, scheduled a pilot and have recruited representatives from each department to apply your PuMP method. I really enjoyed taking the training and all of your exercises were really great. Now I am looking forward to helping others work through the steps to improve our performance measures. I am very pleased with the examples and the materials you have provided so I don't have to re-invent the wheel." |
|
"I have found that PuMP (Stacey's methodology) creates a solid and shared understanding of strategic business outcomes as its starting point. By doing this, the PuMP methodology automatically focuses performance measurement on your strategic direction. As a performance measurement facilitator in a large organisation, using this methodology has made it easier for me to engage people at all levels to develop meaningful measures. It's given me the practical tools I need to perform my role." |

The 2012 Performance Measure Blueprint Workshops
How to overcome the most common struggles with KPIs and performance measures:
This one-of-a-kind workshop teaches you how to overcome the most common practical struggles people face in trying to meaningfully measure what matters:
- trying to measure a strategy that seems immeasurable and is filled with vague words like efficient, effective, sustainable, quality, reliability and productive
- trying to find good performance measures that meaningfully track results, not activity
- trying to get people engaged in measurement, so they buy-in and have ownership of their measures to improve performance
Is this the workshop for YOU?
The Performance Measure Blueprint Workshop was designed for, and continually attracts, a range of people in various roles:
- Managers and Executives who want to demonstrate strong leadership in results-oriented strategy execution and performance monitoring and improvement
- Corporate Planners and planning officers who want to ensure KPIs and performance measures are meaningfully aligned to strategic and operational plans
- Business Analysts, reporting and business intelligence officers who want to be sure their analyses and reports and dashboards clearly convey the right performance measures and cause analysis
- Quality and process improvement officers and performance measurement officers throughout the organisation, who want to confidently lead their colleagues to decide what is meaningful to measure and use those measures to drive performance improvement and strategy execution
- Project managers and project teams who want to ensure their initiatives and projects have the intended business impact and deliver a return on investment for the organisation
- Staff who are tasked with implementing performance measures for their work teams, or who are involved in performance measurement initiatives lead by the organisation's corporate planners, quality managers or performance measurement officers.
The Performance Measure Blueprint Workshop is ideal for you if you:
- need to generate lots of buy-in from your team for measuring and improving performance
- need to improve performance but aren't sure where to start or exactly what to do
- want a way to clearly communicate goals to your team, your customers, your colleagues
- have KPIs that aren't useful or used, but aren't sure why, or how to change them
- want to know the real steps to implement KPIs that are meaningful and useful and not just about filling in the KPI column in your plans
- want a refresher on the essentials of developing KPIs, to finetune your practice
- are still waiting to discover the secrets of making performance measurement work
Learn the 6 powerful performance measurement techniques...
The Performance Measure Blueprint Workshop is ALL about the practical, step-by-step techniques to get more clear about your goals than you've ever been, and focused on the right measures to track those goals so you can quickly test and tune your strategies to reach them.
You will learn how to:
- make your strategy measurable (that is, your goals or objectives) and easier to cascade and communicate and execute
- select and design performance measures far better than brainstorming or benchmarking ever can - especially for the seemingly immeasurable things
- get buy-in from people for performance measurement and performance improvement
- make your measures easier and more cost-effective to implement (and not sit lifelessly in the KPI column in your plan)
- design performance reports and dashboards that communicate the signals in your measures you need to respond to
- put your measures to work, to execute your strategy and achieve your goals and targets
- integrate performance measurement with planning and performance review, to make performance improvement "business as usual"
- link the 6 powerful performance measurement techniques into a step-by-step process you'll find very easy to implement back at work with your colleagues
